Adikavi Nannaya varsity to be developed to impart standard education.

Andhra Pradesh Education Minister G Srinivasa Rao had said that the Adikavi Nannaya University here will be developed as a standard educational institution in the state. "The university will be developed on all fronts with all infrastructural facilities so as to impart standard education and it would be developed as one of the best universities in the state," Rao said yesterday at the foundation laying function of various works in the varsity. State Deputy Chief Minister N China Rajappa and Rajahmundry TDP MP Murali Mohan were present on the occasion. They laid the foundation stone for works worth Rs 17 crore in the university situated at Raja Narendra Nagar in Rajanagaram mandal of East Godavari district. The university will be developed in a grand manner and will be beneficial to students of Guntur, Krishna and East Godavari districts, China Rajappa said. Over 74 post graduate and 350 degree colleges in East and West Godavari districts are affiliated to the university. The university runs a course in geo-information and petroleum exploration, claimed to be the first of its kind in Andhra Pradesh.
