The TS EAMCET 2016 or the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test is an entrance test designed for engineering aspirants. Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad on behalf of TSCHE. Medium: The question paper contains questions in “English” and “Telugu” medium. Candidates, who have studied the qualifying examination in Urdu medium and wish to avail assistance for translating the questions into Urdu, will be allotted a Test Centre at Hyderabad only.

What is the Eligibility Criteria for Telangana EAMCET 2016?

 

There are certain conditions laid down by the Council that you need to satisfy before you can apply for EAMCET. Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for TS EAMCET-2016:

 

a) Candidates should be of Indian Nationality or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.

 

b) Candidates should belong to the state of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local / non – local status requirements as laid down in the Telangana / Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended.

 

c) For Engineering, Bio- Technology, B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (Ag. Engineering) and for 50% seats in B. Pharmacy, B.Tech (Food Science and Technology (FST) /B.Sc (Commercial Agri & Business Mgt. (CA & BM)) Courses:

 

(i) Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Mathematics, Physics along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology as optionals or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh along with bridge course or courses conducted by it for candidates enrolled during 2000-2002 and subsequent batches, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh, provided that candidates who have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional along with the bridge course examination in Mathematics conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh shall also be eligible for the BioTechnology course.(OR)Candidates should have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana / A.P.

 

(ii) Candidate should obtain at least 45% of marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together at 10+2 pattern.

 

(iii) In the case of Engineering and Pharmacy courses, candidates should have completed 16 years of age, as on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit.

 

(iv) In the case of B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech. (Ag. Engineering), B.Tech. (FST) and B.Sc. (CA & BM), Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates as on 31st December of the year of Admissions.

 

d) For B.Sc. (Ag.) / B.Sc. (Hort.) / B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.F.Sc. and for remaining 50% seats in B.Tech. (FST) / B.Sc. (CA & BM) Courses:

 

Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) or any examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh with any two / three of the subjects indicated against each course noted below:

 

With any two of the subjects:

 

(i) B.Sc. (Ag.)                      (i) Physical Sciences

                                              (ii) Biological or Natural Sciences

                                              (iii) Agriculture

                                              (iv) Vocational Course in Agriculture

(ii) B.Sc. (Hort.)                   (i) Physical Sciences

                                               (ii) Biological or Natural Sciences

                                               (iii) Agriculture

                                               (iv) Vocational Course in Agriculture

(iii) B.V. Sc. & A.H.              (i) Physical Sciences

                                               (ii) Biological or Natural Sciences

 

e) For MBBS / BDS Courses (as per GO Ms.No. 195 dated 07-07-2011):

(i) Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of the Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) / Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) / Biotechnology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe & Backward Classes, the marks obtained shall be a minimum of 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) / Biotechnology.

(ii) Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.

f) For BAMS / BHMS / BNYS Courses:

(i) Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of the Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology as optional which shall include a practical test in each subject.

(ii)  a) Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.

       b) There is no maximum age limit for admission into BAMS/BHMS/BNYS.

 

How to Apply for Telangana EAMCET 2016?

 

 

There are different options for candidates belonging to different streams. Depending on what course was studied by the candidates in intermediate, there are different ways to apply for EAMCET.

  • Candidates with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry / Bio-Tech. / Biology as optional subjects in their Intermediate or its equivalent course should submit “E” stream online application for Engineering B.E./ B.Tech. / B.Tech. (Ag. Engg.) / B.Tech.(Dairy Technology) / B.Tech.(FST) / B.Sc.(CA & BM) (MPC) / B.Pharm. (MPC) / Pharm-D (MPC) courses.
  • Candidates with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects in their Intermediate or its equivalent course should submit “AM” stream online application for B.Sc. (Ag.) / B.Sc. (Hort.) / B.V.Sc. & AH / B.F.Sc. / B.Tech. (FST) / B.Sc. (CA&BM) / MBBS / BDS / BAMS / BHMS / BNYS / B.Pharm. / B.Tech. (Bio-Technology) (Bi.P.C.) / Pharm-D (Bi.P.C) courses. For B.Tech. (Bio-Technology) (Bi.P.C), candidates shall pass / appear for Bridge Course exam in Mathematics conducted by B.I.E, A.P. as per G.O. 17, Dt. 2-2-08.

If your Qualifying examination is conducted by Intermediate Board of Education, Telangana / A.P. and you have passed the Qualifying examination in any of the years - 2010 to 2015 or 2016, then you need not upload the photo and signature as they are available with the TS EAMCET-2016 office. However, if you belong to CBSE or ISC or equivalent exam, then you need to upload the Photo (File size less than 30KB and .jpg file format) and Signature (File size less than 15KB and .jpg file format) as and when prompted by the system during the online application form filling process.

 

Once the Application Form has been submitted, if any corrections are to be incorporated, the candidate would have to contact the office of CONVENER, TS EAMCET-2016 or any nearest Regional Centre with the documentary proof. Data will be changed only if documentary evidence is satisfactory. For this reason, the candidates are requested to fill the form very carefully.

Exam Pattern for Telangana EAMCET 2016

 

The syllabus for EAMCET is in tune with the syllabus introduced by the Board of Intermediate Education, TS, for Intermediate course with effect from the academic year 2014-2015(1st year) and 2015-2016 (2nd year) and is designed at the level of Intermediate Course and equivalent to (10+2) scheme of Examination conducted by Board of Intermediate Education, TS.

The syllabus is designed to indicate the scope of subjects included for TS EAMCET. The topics mentioned therein are not to be regarded as exhaustive. Questions may be asked in TS EAMCET-2016 to test the student’s knowledge and intelligent understanding of the subject. The syllabus is applicable to students of both the current and previous batches of Intermediate Course, who desire to appear for TS EAMCET-2016.

Telangana EAMCET 2016 Result

 

The Result of Telangana EAMCET 2016 will be declared on May 16, 2016. For a candidate’s name to appear on the result list, the candidate’s score in Telangana EAMCET 2016 will be the deciding factor. The candidate must also meet all the criteria required for applying to Telangana EAMCET 2016.

 

The qualifying percentage of marks for the TS EAMCET-2016 is 25% of the maximum marks considered for ranking. However, for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, no minimum qualifying mark is prescribed. But their admission will be limited to the extent of seats reserved for such categories (vide G.O.Ms. No. 179, LEN&TE, dated 16.06.1986).

 

Evaluation: Every care will be taken to avoid errors in the evaluation, checking, scrutiny, tabulation and ranking.

 

Ranking:

a. Candidates shall be ranked in the order of merit as explained in the Annexure-IV.

b. Rank obtained in TS EAMCET-2016 is valid for admission to the courses mentioned in the application form for the academic year 2016-2017 only.

c. Rank card shall be downloaded from the website www.tseamcet.in d. Rank obtained with the benefit of relaxation of the minimum qualifying marks at TS EAMCET-2016 by any candidate claiming as SC/ST Category will be cancelled in case the claim is found to be invalid at the time of admission to any course of study in any participating University / Institution.

 

 

 

EAMCET 2016 Counseling Schedule

 

The list of institutions for allotment of candidates with intake in each discipline and category, as per reservations through TS EAMCET – 2016, would be released in the Information Booklet for Counseling in due course and the same information would also be released on our website.
