APICET-2016 is an Integrated Common Entrance Test for admission in to MBA and MCA regular courses that are offered throughout the state of AP State Universities and Professional Colleges under the Jurisdiction of A.P State Council of Higher Education for the academic year 2016-17. The AP ICET 2016 is conducted every year by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of APSCHE. The Office of the Convener, APICET-2016 is located in Andhra University Campus. So you can contact that office regarding any problem.

AP ICET 2016 Eligibility Criteria

a)  The candidates should be Indian Nationals and should satisfy local / non-local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh State Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974 as amended up to date (as per G.O. Ms. No. 25, dated: 19.03.2004 & G.O.Ms.No.108, dated 3-7-2005,Higher Education Department, dated 30-7-2005 and its amendments).

b)  The candidates other than Indian Nationals should satisfy the rules of the Universities concerned.

c)   The candidates seeking admission:

i) For MBA: Should have passed recognized Bachelors Degree Examination of minimum three years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC,ST reserved categories) in the qualifying examination.

ii) For MCA: Should have passed recognized Bachelors Degree examination of minimum three years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC,ST reserved categories) in the qualifying examination with Mathematics or one of the subject at 10+2 level.

d)   The qualifying Degree obtained by Distance Mode Program should have recognition by joint committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC.

e)   The candidates who are appearing for the final year degree examination shall also be eligible to appear for AP ICET 2016

f)     Admission into any college depends on its Recognition/Affiliation by the Statutory Bodies.

g)    Qualifying marks in APICET - 2016 is 25% and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC/ST candidates

Mere qualification in the entrance test does not entitle a candidate to find admission into MBA/MCA course unless the candidate:

i)   Appears for Counseling at the notified Centers

ii)   Applies in response to the admission notification issued by the authority concerned (for part- time\evening\distance mode)

iii)    Satisfies all the eligibility criteria for admission as stipulated by the authority concerned

ICET 2016 Application Form (Online Mode)

The procedure to fill application form is completely online.

  • On your Internet Browser (preferably Internet Explorer version 6.0 and above) type the website address www.apicet.net.in, press ENTER button.
  • Click on the link “APPLY ONLINE” field as directing to IECET 2016 online registration
  • In the “Registration Fee Payment Procedure” page that appears, select the appropriate Registration Fee payment mode.
  •  After that you will be required to verify your payment method.
  • Once the verification is complete, the Application Form shall appear where you will be required to fill all the details pertaining to your academic and personal.
  • Verify all the details before you press the Submit button.
  • After the Online Application Form is completed and submitted, a Preview of your filled in form page will appear on the screen. Read it carefully and check for any mistakes. If there is some correction to be made, click on Edit to go back and correct it.
  • Submit application request.
  • Generate a hard copy of Application Form.

 

Important Information required for filling AP ICET 2016 Online Application

  •  Hall ticket Number of the Qualifying Degree
  •  DoB Proof - Birth Certificate / SSC or Equivalent Certificate.
  •  Hall ticket No. of SSC or Equivalent examination Certificate - SSC or Equivalent Certificate.
  •  Local Status (OU/AU/SVU/ Non-local) - The local candidate certificate issued by MRO or competent authority.
  •  Income of Parents (income is less than Rs. 2.0 lakhs or more than Rs. 2.0 lakhs) - The Income certificate issued by competent authority.
  •  Category (SC, ST, BC. etc.) - The Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority.
  •  Special Category (NCC, PH, Sports, CAP etc.) - The Certificate issued by competent authority

AP ICET MEDIUM OF TEST: English only for Section-C and English & Telugu for Section-A & SectionB of the question paper  

  •  Candidates are directed to carry into the examination hall a Ball Point Pen only with Blue or Black ink.
  •  Besides this, the candidate should not bring any other material including the instructions booklet, Papers, Cell Phones, etc., into the examination hall. Any candidate found in possession of any forbidden material, will be sent out of the examination hall.
  •  Candidates must remain seated in their allotted places till the completion of the examination. In no case they will be allowed to leave the examination hall till the end of the examination. Before leaving the examination hall, the candidates must return the OMR Answer Sheet and data card to the invigilator.
  •  Every candidate appearing for APICET–2016 shall be provided with a specially designed Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet on which the candidate has to mark the answer and other relevant data. The method of marking the answers is illustrated in this section. Candidates are advised to go through the instructions given for marking the answers and other entries on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet thoroughly and practice the same at their residence which should make it easy for them to answer in the examination hall.
  • The Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet should be handled carefully by the candidates. They are advised not to fold, wrinkle or tear the answer sheet under any circumstance. Further, the candidates are advised not to scribble or make any marks on the answer sheet except marking the answers and other relevant data at the appropriate place on the answer sheet. Any violation of these instructions will automatically lead to disqualification of the candidate.
  •  Candidates shall note that they will not be given a second blank Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet under any circumstance. Hence they are advised to be careful while handling their answer sheet.
  •  Candidates shall read carefully the instructions before starting to answer the questions.
  •  The question paper booklet given to the candidate shall consist of 200 multiple choice type questions in three different sections with four responses given to each question, out of which only one response is correct for the given question. Candidates shall mark the correct answer in Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet by darkening the appropriate circle with Ball Point Pen (Blue or Black). They should not use HB Pencil for this purpose under any circumstances.

ICET 2016 Ranking and Counselling:

Candidates will be given State-wide ranks in the order of merit at the APICET - 2016. For the preparation of merit list, in case more than one student scores the same marks at APICET 2016, the tie will be resolved as follows:

1. By considering the marks scored in Section-A

2. If the tie persists, marks obtained by a student in Section-B will be taken into consideration.

3. If the tie still persists, the tie will be resolved by taking into account the age of the candidate giving the older candidate Priority.

4. Rank obtained in APICET - 2016 is valid for admission into MBA/MCA Course (Full Time / Distance Mode / B.R Ambedkar AP Open University) of all A.P. State Universities and Professional Colleges in Andhra Pradesh State for the academic year 2016-2017 only.

5. Evaluation: Every care will be taken to avoid errors in the evaluation, checking, scrutiny, tabulation and ranking. However, request for re-verification will be entertained on payment of Rs. 1,000/- by D.D. drawn in favor of the Convener, AP ICET 2016 (payable at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on any Nationalized Bank), within fifteen days from the date of declaration of results. After this date no request will be entertained.
